I watch as everyone has their own excited conversations. Each person talking about whatever makes them happy. I stare down at the masterpiece I have delicately drawn on my foot over the last hour. The TV on for background noise and the squeal of another when dogs lick their toes. I suddenly realise what I am a part of. Girl Scouts brought me these people. I never would have met them, let alone became friends with them. One decision became a new part of my life. Separate from any other an special in an unexplainable way. I smile and continue a conversation with an Italian girl scout from across the table. My world at peace for this second.
