We waited for each other as all of us filled our fork with a large bite of chocolate cake and colorful frosting. Hoping to relish the taste we hoped would be amazing, Amber made sure to wait until everyone was ready. Sadly, Amber forgot to look at both people at the table, and we had our first bites well before Taylor. There were very few bitter feelings due to the fact that our frosting, that had been mixed and remixed many times, was awful. A large mass of this disgusting paste was blanketing our cake in layer upon layer of pastel purple, blue, and green. The cake itself was delicous, but all seemed for naught as the decoration we had such high hopes for slowly slid in all directions around the cake. We have a few tips for next time: cream cheese frosting instead of buttercream, wait for the cake to cool conpletely, and use WAY less frosting to cover it.
