Today I spent my whole day with my childhood babysitter. She watched me from the time I was born to the time I was 6, making her like a second mother to me. She took care of my 2 friends, my brother, my friends brother, and I every day for 6 years. We took a trip down memory lane wishing it would all come back. I helped her watch 2 of her grandchildren. At each turn I thought of another memory she was part of. It was like I had never left. She is probably the best person in the world with so much patience and love for others it’s hard to describe. I’ve missed my childhood and today was like a short vacation back.
There’s so much I love about this! Isn’t it funny how people really become such a part of our lives? It sounds like you don’t get to see her often, is that true? I’m glad that you had such a great day and that you were able to recall and enjoy those memories, all the while building new ones!
